Gordon Conference on In Vivo Nuclear Magnetic Resonance

July 17, 2016: Dr. Alek Nacev of WMP presents an invited talk at the Gordon Conference on In Vivo Nuclear Magnetic Resonance on the topic of electropermanent MRI systems. The use of electropermanent magnets in MRI reduces electrical consumption by orders of magnitude as compared to resistive MRI, while preserving the flexibility and safety of resistive MRI systems. Unlike superconducting or permanent MRI systems, the electropermanent MRI systems can be shut off in a fraction of a second, which would be desirable for guiding or imaging particles within the body or to prevent damage from unwanted ferromagnetic materials attracted to the system.
